WHY THE CHANDLERY?
A Chandlery is a house of candles. Named after its original owner, Professor W. Chandler Bagley, we love the candle’s imagery of light, warmth, passion, sharing, and illumination, as well as its historical importance to education.

HISTORY OF THE CHANDLERY
The house was built in 1907 in the Craftsman style of the time, with influences of the Tudor Revival. Its architectural style is characterized by its gabled roofs, dark wood framing, stone base and chimney, large front porch, and the narrow port cochere with exposed rafters.
